Where can I start looking for Atlanta background work?

Start with Hylton Casting’s official website and the Georgia Film Office’s professional-development page. Check the role category, location, and dates in each notice before applying.

Is the Georgia film-office jobs page Atlanta-only?

No. It covers film and television projects throughout Georgia and includes crew work as well as background information. Look for a background-specific notice and its actual work location.

Where should I find Hylton Casting’s registration information?

Use Hylton’s official homepage and its Talent Registration information. The state film-office page refers readers there; registration or a submission does not guarantee a booking.

Should I travel to Atlanta before I have a booking?

Treat casting as a possibility, not a travel plan. Confirm the reporting location and your ability to meet the booking requirements before making arrangements.

Does Scene Seekers book extras in Atlanta?

No. Scene Seekers is an independent informational site. We do not cast, hire, or represent performers.

Background acting in Atlanta

For Atlanta beginners, it helps to separate a casting company from a film-office jobs page. Hylton Casting identifies Atlanta as its base; the Georgia Film Office’s professional-development page covers film and television work throughout the state.

The state page includes a background-actor referral to Hylton alongside production-office and crew listings. Read the job category carefully: a crew call is not an extras application, and a statewide listing does not establish where you would report. Start with the official company website for its own instructions.

Getting started as a beginner

Begin at Hylton Casting’s official homepage and look for its Talent Registration information rather than using an old registration link.
Read the individual background notice for required photos, availability, and submission details; do not send an extras application to a crew-call contact.
Be honest about your measurements, availability, and transportation. Keep recent, natural photos ready.

Practical local considerations

Georgia’s film-office listings cover the entire state. Confirm the actual work location before assuming a listing is within metro Atlanta.
An Atlanta-based casting company may handle projects elsewhere; plan travel around a confirmed booking, not the company’s address.
The state professional-development page also includes training and crew work. Those resources are not guarantees of background roles.

Types of Opportunities

What Productions in Atlanta May Look For

Scripted-series background

Georgia’s film-office page documents a scripted-series background referral. It illustrates a type of work to research, not a promise of an available Atlanta role.

Period-specific looks

That state-listed series describes a 1990s and early-2000s setting. Wardrobe and appearance needs belong to the individual project; do not assume all Atlanta work uses period looks.

Examples are general. Scene Seekers does not list or guarantee specific casting calls.
